My little baby bear,

I promise to let you dream.

Big, wild, magical dreams.

I vow to protect you, but let you think and grow on your own.

I will always hug you and tell you how much I love you.

I vow to teach you about compassion, tolerance, ahimsa, and enjoying the simple things in life.

I promise not to get mad when you play in the dirt.

Even when I have to bathe you again.

I will encourage you to explore, use your imagination, and love yourself.

I vow to hold you close when you need it,

and let you walk away even when I don’t want you to.

I will teach you about God and his love for the world,

but let you find Him in your own way.

I will be the best mommy possible to you,

and though I’ll fail, I will never let a moment go by

that you don’t know love.
